For the sponge cake, beat eggs with hot water until foamy. Add the sugar and beat until dissolved.

Mix flour and baking powder. Sift onto the egg mixture and gently fold in.

Spread the mixture on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 15 minutes. Then turn out onto a cloth sprinkled with sugar.
