For the chocolate almonds, first line the baking tray with baking paper. Then preheat the oven to 180°C. Mix the amaretto with the sugar and mix with the almonds. Spread the almonds on the baking tray and bake in the oven on the middle shelf for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Remove and let cool. Cover a board or plate with baking paper. Finely chop the chocolate coating and melt in a water bath (the chocolate should only be lukewarm!). Mix the almonds with the chocolate, place them one by one on the baking paper and refrigerate for approx. 1 hour to harden the chocolate.Remove the chocolate almonds from the paper and roll them in the cocoa powder.

Chocolate almonds make a perfect gift. Wrap the almonds in cellophane paper and tie a pretty bow over them.
