Instructions:

Boil the potatoes in plenty of water, rinse and peel.

Heat oil in a frying pan. Finely dice the onion and fry over half the heat until brown.

When the onions are light brown, add the peeled, halved potatoes and let them fry on low heat.

Once the potatoes have a brown crust, mash them, add butter and salt, cover and turn off the heat.

Then let stand for another 5 minutes. This will loosen the crispy crust from the bottom of the pan.

Remove the mashed potatoes and serve as desired.

Preparation Tip:

Sprinkle with fresh chives or crispy bacon cubes. Refine with pepper.
