For the pumpkin vegetables, peel and clean the pumpkin and divide into bite-sized pieces. Peel and chop the onion and sauté in a little butter or lard until translucent. Add the pumpkin and fry briefly.
Add water and season. Cover and let cook. Let it boil down a bit and season to taste. Finally, add a dash of cream or milk and serve sprinkled with chopped parsley.

The pumpkin vegetables can also be combined with potatoes, but beware, potatoes have a longer cooking time.
